What counts as a small group in Lisbon

Caps on the shared walks run from seven to fifteen. Twelve is the common ceiling among the specialist operators, so read anything above it as a shared walk rather than a small one:

Why it matters here: the tascas on these routes have a counter and a few tables, and Alfama's lanes are stepped and narrow. A group of fifteen on a staircase is a queue. If you are still choosing the quarter, Alfama or Baixa sets out the difference.

Does a smaller group cost more?

A private walk has no shared cap: only your party walks. Private fares here run from $88 to $140 a head, so they overlap with the small-group walks. With four or more of you, or a diet to work around, price it private first: you would fill a third of a twelve-guest walk anyway. Travelling alone?
